How to make ChatGPT remember previous conversations
ChatGPT remembers on its own once memory is on. Here’s how, and what SkyOS adds.

In ChatGPT
OpenAI says memory doesn’t keep every detail from every chat. Sources: memory, release notes, projects.

Turn on memory
Settings → Personalization → Memory. Switch on Reference saved memories and Reference chat history, where your plan shows them.

Ask it to remember
Say “Remember that…” to keep a detail as a saved memory.

Ask about a past chat
With chat history on, ChatGPT finds details from past chats and shows them as sources. Most reliable on Plus and Pro.

Use projects
Chats in a project can draw on each other.
