Privacy Policy
SkyOS · Last updated 17 October 2026
SkyOS gives the AI tools you already use — Claude, ChatGPT and Codex — one shared memory. To do that it stores notes about your work, and a few of your recent messages, in a form our operator can read. This page says exactly what, where and for how long, so you can decide what to tell your AI tools with SkyOS connected.
Who we are
SkyOS, at skyos.ink, app.skyos.ink and api.skyos.ink, is operated by Gennadii Kosaryntsev, an individual developer based in Kazakhstan. For anything in this policy — a copy of your data, a correction, deletion, a complaint — write to hello@skyos.ink.
What SkyOS receives
SkyOS sees only what a connected AI tool sends it through SkyOS’s three tools:
- Recall: only an ID the AI tool chose for the chat, so SkyOS can return that chat’s notes. Nothing you wrote is sent.
- Save: your message and the AI’s answer.
- Continue: the name of the memory you asked for.
SkyOS does not see the rest of your history in those tools, your other chats, or files you give them. What your AI tool sends is decided by the tool and the instructions you give it; each tool’s own privacy policy covers everything else it does.
What we store
- Your account: the user ID from our sign-in provider and your email address.
- Memories and notes: each memory’s name, and its notes — short sentences with a topic and the dates they were saved or changed.
- Recent messages: the last five exchanges (your message and the AI’s answer) of each chat. SkyOS reads them to write notes, and shows some of them to your AI tool: the last few from the chat that used a memory before, when you continue it; and, when a chat has no memory yet, your last two messages in each of your three latest chats in that same tool, so a long chat that the tool summarized can find its memory again.
- Chats: for each chat, which tool it is in, the ID the tool gave it, which memory it uses, and when it was last used.
- Tools: which of your tools have connected, and when each last reached SkyOS or saved.
- Monthly count: how many messages your tools saved this month, for the beta’s limit of 1,000.
- Timezone: the one your browser reports when you open the dashboard, so dates, and the month the limit counts in, are right where you are.
- Dashboard sign-ins: a record that keeps you signed in to app.skyos.ink.
- Contact messages: what you write in the Contact form on skyos.ink or in Send feedback in the app, and your email address.
We don’t sell your data, show you ads, or use what you store to train AI models.
It is not end-to-end encrypted
Everything travels over encrypted connections, but it is stored in a form our operator can read. A person looks at your data only when you ask for help, to fix something that broke, to deal with abuse, or when the law requires it. SkyOS also counts, without reading anyone’s notes, how many accounts connect an app and save messages, to see where people get stuck.
Who processes it, and where
| Provider | What it does | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Runs SkyOS’s servers and this site; keeps server logs; counts visits to skyos.ink without cookies | United States |
| Upstash | The database: everything under “What we store” | United States |
| WorkOS | Sign-in for you and for your AI tools: your email address, your name if your Google account provides it, and sign-in records | United States |
| OpenAI | Reads each saved exchange, with the chat’s other recent messages and that memory’s notes, to write notes (for a memory of 200 or more notes, only the topics the exchange is about, which it picks first); reads a new chat’s first messages, or the notes written from them, to name its memory; reads a memory’s notes now and then, to tidy them | United States |
| Resend | Delivers Contact messages and feedback to our inbox, and, if you sign up from inside an AI tool and it doesn’t have the memory instructions yet, one email to you with them | United States |
OpenAI does not use what we send it to train its models, and may keep it for up to 30 days to watch for abuse, under its own terms; that copy is outside what our deletion can reach.
Signing in
You sign in through WorkOS, with your email address or your Google account; we never see your password. When you connect an AI tool, it signs in the same way and receives a token that lets it use SkyOS as you. The tool keeps that token; SkyOS checks it on every request and does not store it. To cut a tool off, remove SkyOS in that tool — disconnecting it on the SkyOS dashboard only updates the dashboard.
Server logs
Our logs record that something happened — a recall, a save, a sign-in, an error — with the tool’s name, a shortened fingerprint of the IDs involved, and counts such as how many notes were written and how many tokens that took. They never contain your messages, notes, email address or sign-in tokens. Vercel keeps them for a short time.
Cookies and browser storage
- app.skyos.ink: one cookie,
skyos_session, keeps you signed in to the dashboard for 30 days;skyos_loginlasts an hour and exists only while you sign in. WorkOS’s sign-in pages set their own cookies. No tracking or advertising cookies. - skyos.ink: no cookies. Visits are counted without them, and the Contact form remembers the email address you typed in your own browser, so you don’t retype it.
How long we keep it
- Notes and memories: until you delete them, or your account. As a memory grows, SkyOS also tidies it: notes that repeat another or wouldn’t change an answer are removed, and are gone at once, like a note you delete.
- Recent messages: deleted automatically once a chat has been quiet for 30 days; only the last five are ever kept.
- Chats that never saved anything: removed after 30 days.
- Monthly count: deleted within 40 days of the month’s end.
- Your account: until you delete it.
- Dashboard sign-ins: 30 days from your last visit.
- Contact messages and feedback: in our inbox, and a backup of the latest 500 on the server, deleted a year after the last one arrives.
Exporting and deleting your data
You can download any memory as Markdown, with each note and its date, from the three-dot menu on the Memory page, or all of them in one file from the bottom of the Dashboard. You can also delete any note, or a whole memory with all its notes and the recent messages of its chats; it is gone at once. To delete your account and everything in it, use Delete account at the bottom of the Dashboard: your memories, notes, chats and recent messages, your dashboard sign-ins and your sign-in account are deleted at once. For a day after, a note that the account was deleted, kept as a fingerprint of its ID, turns away any AI tool still signed in to it.
If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK
We process your data to provide the service you signed up for, and, for security, abuse prevention and answering Contact messages and feedback, because we have a legitimate interest in doing so. You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, its deletion, or a copy in a portable format, and you can object to processing. You can also complain to your data protection authority. Your data is processed in the United States, under the safeguards our providers offer for such transfers, such as the EU’s standard contractual clauses.
If you are in California
We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising. You can ask to know, correct or delete what we hold about you, and we won’t treat you differently for asking.
Security
Each account’s data is kept under its own keys, and every request is checked against the account it signed in as, so one account cannot read or change another’s. Access to the production systems is limited to the operator.
Children
SkyOS is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has signed up, write to us and we will delete the account.
Changes
When this policy changes we update this page and its date. If a change matters to how your data is used, we will email you before it takes effect.
